Early and reliable detection of smoke in lift shafts is critical for the safe evacuation of building occupants. In the Australian Standard AS1670.1-2018, detectors in lift shafts need to be serviceable without entering the lift shaft. In this episode, Ben and Rob talk about these changes and ways of meeting the requirements using the Xtralis FAAST FLEX ASD. The FAAST FLEX is highly flexible, cost-effective and a perfect product to install for lift shaft applications.
