In today’s episode of FlameStop TV we showcase our comprehensive range of fire cabinets widely used in the fire industry. All of the cabinets are used for various applications and are available at our FlameStop distribution warehouses.
Ben is the General Manager of FlameStop Australia, having joined the company in 2002. With over two decades of experience in the fire protection industry, he has developed extensive knowledge across all aspects of FlameStop’s operations. While his expertise originally centred on portable fire extinguishers, FlameStop’s extensive product range has allowed him to become a well-rounded generalist in fire safety solutions.
As General Manager, Ben oversees the sales and operations of more than 100 team members across 14 distribution centres in Australia and New Zealand. He enjoys working hands-on with teams across the business and approaches every challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
In addition to his role at FlameStop, Ben serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia). In this capacity, he collaborates with industry leaders to advocate for better regulation, safer buildings, and a more skilled and professional fire protection industry.
When Ben isn’t working, he spends time with his family on the Gold Coast, experimenting with BBQ recipes (still perfecting the brisket) and cheering for his beloved Brisbane Broncos.
Rob is the National Manager - Fire Alarms Division at FlameStop Australia, having been with the company since 2009. Over his career, he has played an instrumental role in the rapid growth and expansion of FlameStop’s fire alarm product range, contributing to its position as a trusted leader in fire detection and warning systems.
In his role, Rob is responsible for the vision, growth, and development of the fire alarm product range, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of customers across Australia and New Zealand. He works closely with customers and teams to provide expert advice, ensure product excellence, and support innovation in fire alarm solutions.
Rob is also an active member of Fire Protection Association Australia’s (FPA Australia) TAC/2 Technical Advisory Committee on Fire Detection and Alarm Systems. Through this role, he contributes to the development and review of standards for fire detection, alarm, warning, and intercommunication systems, helping to drive industry improvement and better fire safety practices.
Outside of work, Rob enjoys participating in triathlons, playing squash, and spending time with his family, particularly helping his two young daughters with their netball skills. He is a passionate sports fan, following both football codes and proudly supporting the GWS Giants and the Penrith Panthers.
After making the first series of FlameStop TV both Ben and Rob have agreed there is definitely no career for them in acting, and hoping to better their efforts for the next series of shows.
FlameStop Australia is pleased to be launching FlameStop TV, a new initiative showcasing the latest products and services we have to offer. Each show will run for 2 to 3 minutes and allows you to view the show no matter where you are.
This exciting new platform is presented by Ben Parkhill and Rob Glover who have a combined amount of 35 years’ experience in the fire industry. Both have a passion for all things fire and enjoy building long lasting relationships with customers.
FlameStop TV can be shown at your company toolbox meetings. Each show focuses on product applications and highlights key features you may or might not know about. The show also covers topics of interest and services offered at our national distribution warehouses.
